He worked with the DA to get her to see my lie detector test results and had her talk to the lie detector test givers and she agreed to drop all charges.

    - Oct 01 2020 I was naive in believing that as a federal government employee—that one should feel comfortable with sitting down and talking with Federal Agents. I was advised by a federal executive ‘not to’ sit down and speak with Federal Agents without an Attorney, especially because I was being told that I was the ‘Target of an Investigation.’ My Uncle Thomas Marshall (now deceased) recommended me to Paul Stablien--based on the short time frame that I was required to meet. Luckily, with only 24 hours before I was to sit down with these Agents, Paul was able to accompany me to this meeting. What I learned from Paul (and the experience) was that, Federal Agents have rapport with Federal Prosecutors, and because of that, innocent federal employees must be careful not to trust that fairness nor truth will prevail in your given challenged situations (even when you’ve done nothing wrong). I’ve worked long enough now-- in the Government (20+ Years) to see how simple gossip can lead to falsely aimed federal criminal investigations. Furthermore this policy is present in every Federal Government Agency, “Employees shall endeavor to avoid any actions creating the appearance that they are violating the law or the ethical standards set forth in the Standards of Ethical Conduct. Whether particular circumstances create an appearance that the law or these standards have been violated shall be determined from the perspective of a reasonable person with knowledge of the relevant facts.” Who determines what facts are relevant? Who determines what a reasonable person is? As a African American Minority, who had just successfully defended my dissertation 8 months before, I was confronted with a false accusation and this policy protects the accusers (fellow employees and managers) from falsely accusing innocent employees and offers no avenue for the victims, when the agencies gets it wrong.
