    - Aug 24 2022 I came to Anthony (Tony) in June of 2019 with a very complicated tax issue involving an LLC of which I was the managing member. I was feeling very intimidated by the IRS Revenue Officer as he had become quite aggressive. Couple that with the fact that I had been dealing with this issue for several years with no resolution and I was really feeling the pressure. I'm so glad I found Tony. Within 5 minutes of sitting down with him I was already feeling at ease and knew I had made the right decision in contacting him....who you work with definitely matters. His expertise, unending knowledge and dogged determination in dealing with the IRS were truly astounding. In the end he was able to have the tax levies removed and did more for me in one month than I or my CPA had been able to do in years. I would highly recommend him to anyone in a similar situation, he is truly one of the most intelligent and professional men I've ever known.

    - Jul 27 2022 We are so glad to have been referred to Anthony Jefferies, J.D., CPA. We regularly filed and paid our taxes through our previous CPA, or so we thought. We suddenly started having our tax refunds withheld and were told we had an astronomical amount in back taxes plus interest and fees. We were mortified. We tried getting help from many CPA's, tax attorneys and even from the IRS. The best advise we could get from any of them was to file for bankruptcy. The IRS could not pinpoint the problem and said they didn't know why we were getting threatening letters. They seemed to be more in the dark than we were. A friend gave us Mr. Jeffries name and told us to give him a call. He was so compassionate and did not judge our situation at all. More importantly, he put us at ease that we were going to get through our tax issues. We cannot thank him enough for all his work in identifying our problem and guiding us through the madness and to a resolution.

Often, I believe, a person untrained-in-law may feel that he/she is "in trouble" or has done something wrong when needing the services of an attorney. I noticed that Mr. Jeffries looks at both the basic facts and evidence but not at the expense of drilling down to find weaknesses. Tony did an excellent job helping us resolve this situation and making it so that we no longer have a tax debt. In fact, we are totally caught up and we currently owe nothing.     - Jun 16 2022 Tony first helped me and my partner after the sale of our business in1995. He correctly diagnosed and repaired what was a horrendous taxable event. Without drama. We found ourselves in a similar situation in 2020 concerning the termination of our Corporation by the State of NM. I had met and talked to many attorneys and tax professionals before I met Anthony. Each time there was never a solution. Anthony told me from the beginning, he thought he could make some head way against Tax and Rev, but could not promise anything.     - Jun 14 2022 I have a pharmacy client in Albuquerque. Out of the blue, they received a Gross Receipts Tax assessment of $2.5 Million over a six-year period. I am a CPA, and responded to the Agent on behalf of my client, citing what I thought were the revelant NM statutes.. The Agent denied my arguments. I contacted Tony. He cited the same statutes, and through direct contact with the Agent, she reversed her position and my client owed no GRT for the years in question. Obviously, Tony did a great job for us, and his knowledge of the GRT statutes in question made the difference Tony did a great job for us, and I highly recommend him. Very easy to work with!!

There are two examples in which he helped us out of critical situations. One was a tax problem with IRS many years ago. We owed a lot of taxes.
